Welcome to Quilt-making for Lutheran World Relief! The first work sessions of the new Quilting year took place on Saturday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 16 and will continue taking place the second Saturday (9am-noon) and following Tuesday (12:30-3pm) of each month until the Blessing of the Quilts, which will be September 26, 2021.
Safety Precautions
We have been asked to remind all participants of the following safety precautions:
- For vaccinated persons, wearing a mask is optional
- Unvaccinated persons are asked to wear a mask
- All are asked to please wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer (available in the Narthex and Quilting Area)
- All are asked to respect social distancing
Good News
Our shelves are packed with Quilt tops ready to be assembled! Thank you to everyone responsible for getting us off to a great start!
Once we have assembled Quilts, we will most likely need people to sew perimeters and complete tying in their homes. Please let Andrea know if you are willing to zig-zag perimeters and/or tie quilts at home and she will coordinate “homework assignments”.
Take care, keep safe, and Peace Be With You!
