Fauquier County Food Distribution Coalition Needs Your Help
Our Saviour is asking for help in providing non-perishable food for Fauquier County Food Distribution Coalition’s quickly approaching Food Giveaway.
Hardships caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic have made the need for assistance greater than ever! Please consider donating to this very worthy cause.
Non-perishable food (see list of most-needed items below) should be dropped off in the narthex at Our Saviour by Wednesday, May 13.
Days & hours to do so are Tuesday-Friday between 9:30 am-2:30 pm. Contact the office with any questions.
Weekly Worship for Sunday, May 10 – MOTHER’S DAY!
Sunday, May 10, 2020 | 10:00 am
Our Saviour feels blessed to be able to continue to offer a “Virtual Church” experience for our members, friends of the church, community neighbors, and visitors during this time of a statewide stay-at-home order. This is a way for us to come together in worship while remaining safe and healthy at home.
Access Weekly Worship page here.
The entire text of the sermon will be posted to the Weekly Worship page later in the day.
Virtual Coffee Hour on Sundays
Feeling isolated? Going stir crazy? Eager to catch up with friends? Join other OSLC folks after our 10:00 am Sunday virtual worship service – probably about 11:15 am.
You may need to enter the Meeting ID: 732 534 989 to join the conversation.
Or you can simply call in from any phone. Call +1 301 715 8592 and enter the same Meeting ID: 732 534 989
VBS Cancelled for Summer 2020 –
Sorry to miss you this year, VBS families!
Due to the cancellation of events by the Virginia Synod and the anticipated length of the stay-at-home order, we have decided to cancel Vacation Bible School this year. It saddens us, but we trust that God will put us back to use on that vital ministry next year!
· If anyone would be interested in leading/helping create any substitutes (virtual class options, do-at-home options, location to post photos and lessons to share, other ideas), let Pastor Terri know.
· If any families would participate in an Alternative VBS if offered, also let her know!
Office Hours
The OSLC office is open most of the week, but official open times for the public are Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 am-2:30 pm. Come by for the Food Closet, offering drop off, or stop in to pray. Please wear a cloth mask. Don’t have one? We’ll give you one to keep!
(FYI, because FCCC is providing child care in our Fellowship Hall, the only available restroom is in the nursery.)
OSLC Mask-makers At It Again
Our very own Emily Ashby, Susan Kiser and Karla Kolb made and donated cloth masks for the residents of the Villa at Suffeild Meadows and Blue Ridge Christian Home. Thank you, ladies, for being a living example of God’s Work, Our Hands!
The Fauquier Times ran an article this week on seniors in local long-term care facilities receiving donated face masks. Although not mentioned by name, the article does credit local churches as having contributed to the effort. You can learn more, including how to donate, by clicking on the “Read More” button.
Grateful for Your Donations!
We are extremely grateful for the continued offerings!
OSLC depends on weekly donations to keep the church operational. With your help, OSLC continues to be the church even while we can’t meet in person. Your willingness to invest your time, talents, and financial resources matters!
to help you consider ways you can share a gift and make an impact.
Adult Bible Study via Zoom: The Lord’s Prayer

Pastor Michael will teach a Bible Study via Zoom. It will meet on Thursdays at 5:00 pm beginning May 7. To join, click the button below or call 646-876-9923 and enter the Meeting ID: 895 0940 7035.
