The 2024 quilting season culminates with the “Blessing of the Quilts “ September 28h – 29th.
We’ve done it again! September marks the conclusion of another AMAZING year of quilt-making at OSLC for Lutheran World Relief! We will be extra busy finishing up all the remaining quilts during our last 2 work sessions. We welcome all helping hands and we sincerely hope everyone in the congregation will join in the culminating activity, the Blessing of the Quilts, during all three worship services on September 28th-29th. Together let’s celebrate the ministry, its mission and the members who act in faith and love and give true meaning to “God’s Work, Our Hands” through the gift of quilts to those in need.

We hear mention of the amazing Quilt Ministry here at OSLC frequently because they are hard at work nearly every week of the year. But how well do we understand the impact of those quilts in the world?
At the end of this month, our quilting group will have more than 200 new quilts ready to go out into the world to bring comfort and safety to someone in need! Each one reflects God’s loving presence in a world rife with suffering.
