May the 4th be with you — and the whole community!
Give Local Piedmont 2021 – Tuesday, May 4, 2021 (All Day, Online)
Members of Our Saviour support many local groups and nonprofit organizations with their time, talents, and treasure. We serve as board members, volunteers, and clients. We freely give of our financial resources and we often directly see the results of this support. The annual Give Local Piedmont appeal is an easy way to help our community through our local nonprofit organizations such as People Helping People, Fauquier Habitat for Humanity, and others which OSLC actively supports.
How do you give? It’s simple. Anytime on May 4 go to the Give Local Piedmont website, select “Donate” and search for the organization(s) you want to support. Click on its “DONATE” button and make your donation ($10 minimum). You can include more than one organization in a single transaction, and you will be given the opportunity to cover credit card fees if you choose. Just click and donate to as many as you want. Donations are tax-deductible. Look for special “Power Hours” which offer the charities prizes and matching fund opportunities to expand your donations.
Out of town on May 4th? Or just want to make sure you don’t forget? No problem. You may go online anytime between April 20th and May 3rd to preschedule your donation.
OSLC Matches Dollar to Dollar for PHP!
- To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their work in our community and our historic connections to them, Our Saviour has committed to a $2,000 matching grant for People Helping People this year. (This money has come from a variety of sources, including our ministry spending plan, and has already been set aside.)
- What that means for members and friends who want to support PHP is that every dollar donated to PHP during the campaign, up to $2,000, will be doubled. That means your donations go farther!
- (Note: other charities will have different matching grant opportunities, so look for your other favorites to see where you can do the most good!)
