Parts Assigned THIS Weekend (3/19/22)!

To enhance our worship as well as allow our youth to grow and shine, we are offering a new opportunity for youth to lead the church: a dramatic presentation of the Passion of Our Lord on April 9-10. All Youth are invited to read for speaking parts this Saturday (March 19) at 3:30 pm.

Our youth will prepare a dramatic reading of the story of the suffering and death of Jesus according to St. Luke on Palm Sunday weekend. (This will not replace our traditional reading of the passion according to St. John during our Tenebrae service on Good Friday.)

All youth (a.k.a. 6th-12th graders) and young adults may try out for speaking parts, non-speaking acting parts, or take the lead in a variety of behind-the-scenes technical support. If you cannot come this Saturday, please write to Pastor Terri at pastor.terri@oslc-warrenton.org or text/message her before Saturday so we can hold a spot for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop new leaders among our youth, as well as to help the entire congregation. It will also be an excellent program to bring friends to, so it helps us spread the good news of God’s love to our community. Pastor Terri, Rick Ducharme and Kristin Maynard are working on this project, and we need your help to make it happen. If interest is great enough, this will include staging, memorized parts, costumes, and some props, but it will be a reading of the Bible, not a play.

We strongly encourage any adults eager to support them in any way to let Pastor Terri, Rick or Kristin know as soon as possible.
